FISM Academy

FISM Academy

The FISM Academy is an initiative of FISM, created to merge artistic training, research, and cultural promotion within a single global framework.
Conceived by FISM President Andrea Baioni, it aims to strengthen the identity of magic, raise professional standards, and promote its recognition as a performing art and shared cultural heritage.

Headquarters and Global Network

Its official headquarters are hosted at the Museum of Magic in Cherasco, Italy, and offer members of FISM-affiliated associations free access to the library and to the facilities for meetings and cultural events.

Around this center, the Academy coordinates a global network of hubs and partners — including universities, museums, and cultural institutions — that bring together world champions, historians, and FISM curators.

Main Programs

Advanced Coaching: intensive five-day workshops with FISM World Champions, focused on performance, technique, judging, and creativity

• University Partnerships: joint courses and research in management, innovation, and heritage preservation

• Cultural Initiatives: the FISM Cultural Label, the Global Magic Day, and the Magic & Culture Archive Project promote the artistic and historical value of magic worldwide

Strategic Goals

The Academy aims to strengthen FISM’s global role as a reference for excellence and tradition, support local initiatives within an international framework, and coordinate efforts toward the recognition of magic as part of UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
